China delays the export of Ukrainian grain
Ukraine is concerned about delays in processing documents for the export of agricultural products to China.
On Wednesday, December 21, the leadership of the Ministry of Agricultural Policy held a working meeting with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Ukraine, Fan Xianzhong. The parties discussed the deepening of trade and economic relations in the agricultural sphere and the possibility of expanding the nomenclature of Ukrainian exports, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine reports.
During the meeting, Minister Mykola Solskyi emphasized the productivity of the long-term cooperation between the countries and expressed concern about the delays in issuing permits for the export of corn and soybeans to China for next year. Currently, it is important to complete the procedure and approve the list of exporters for their further work.
Ukraine in the conditions of war fully ensures internal food security and has the potential to increase exports, including to China, the minister noted.
The parties agreed to look for new opportunities for expanding trade between the countries, deepening ties between entrepreneurs, opening new export items.
