China wants to regularly conduct joint exercises with the Russian fleet

China’s Defense Minister Li Shanfu met with Russian Navy Commander Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov in Beijing and said that China hopes to “strengthen ties at all levels” with the Russian Navy.

Li noted that the two countries should “regularly organize joint exercises, joint cruises, and joint military skill competitions,” as well as “expand practical cooperation in professional fields.”

According to DW, Lee also added that both countries should “make positive contributions to support regional and global peace and stability.”

It will be recalled that in March, Beijing and Moscow took part in joint naval exercises in the Gulf of Oman.
