China will use the Russian port of Vladivostok for domestic trade
China will use the Russian port of Vladivostok as a transit port for domestic trade.
From the beginning of June, the Russian port of Vladivostok will become a transit point for China’s domestic trade goods. This was reported in the representative office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Vladivostok.
Traditionally, Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces send their goods to the south of China through the ports of Liaoning province, the distance to which is about 1,000 km by land.
Now, within the framework of a unified customs procedure, China will be able to export goods through Suifenhe or Hongchun to Vladivostok (which is about 200 km away), and then by sea to the southern regions of China.
The Russian ministry hastened to assure that cooperation between the People’s Republic of China and the Russian Federation in no way means China’s desire to regain Vladivostok in the future.
