Concession in Chornomorsk enters verification phase: applicants sent for security screening

At this stage, possible connections of participants with the aggressor state, sanctioned companies and offshore structures will be checked, in particular.

The tender commission for the selection of an investor for the First and Container Terminals in the port of Chornomorsk has submitted the applicants’ document packages for security screening. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Development and Trade.

After the deadline for submitting document packages for security screening within the framework of the competition to determine the concessionaire expired on March 13, a meeting of the tender commission was held.

The commission considered the results of the opening and verification of document packages that were previously processed by the working group. After that, the documents were submitted for security screening.

During this procedure, the absence of grounds for disqualification from participation in the competition will be checked. This concerns, in particular, possible connections of applicants with the aggressor state, sanctioned companies or offshore jurisdictions.

In addition, the tender commission considered requests received from legal entities interested in participating in the tender. Responses to them were prepared with the participation of advisors and approved by the commission.

Recently, the concession project in the port of Chornomorsk was presented in Istanbul.
