Construction of a “dry” port for the transportation of grain and oilseeds is being completed in Vinnytsia
Lemtrans Group has completed the construction of the second stage of the “dry” port – “Container Terminal Vinnytsia”. The first cargo has already been sent from the CTP to Odesa.
As reported by Deputy Mayor of Vinnytsia Andriy Ocheretnyi, Lemtrans invested over $15 million in this facility. The investments were directed to the development of infrastructure: railway tracks, a container yard, a warehouse with an area of over 4 thousand m2.
According to the project, the throughput capacity of the CTP is approximately 20 thousand TEU per year. The terminal itself is designed to transport such cargoes as grain crops and bulk cargoes (in particular, oil).
“With the opening of this dry port in Vinnytsia, which has a good geographical location, the number of economic ties and opportunities for the development of foreign trade will increase. It is important that thanks to such yards, Ukraine can export twice as much as it imports,” says Andriy Ocheretnyi.
Recall that earlier in September, CTP received the first shipments.
