Container ship Joseph Schulte arrived in Istanbul

The first ship to use the temporary transport corridor has arrived in Istanbul.

The Hong Kong-flagged container ship Joseph Schulte anchored in the port of Ambarli, south of Istanbul.

The container ship left the port of Odesa on August 16. It became the first civilian vessel to use the temporary transport corridor opened after Russia’s withdrawal from the “grain agreement”.

It should be noted that last week Ukraine announced the creation of a “humanitarian corridor” in the Black Sea for the release of cargo ships.

Meanwhile, the Russian Federation has not said whether it will respect the shipping corridor, and shipping and insurance sources have expressed concerns about security.
