COSCO returns to the port of Chornomorsk


COSCO Shipping Europe has announced the launch of the Black Sea Feeder Service (BFS).

It will connect the port of Chornomorsk in Ukraine with the Turkish port of Kumport, located near Istanbul, Gospodarka Morska reports.

COSCO Shipping Europe initially announced this in a post on social media, but the post was later deleted. Details about the service are currently unknown, as is the date of its start of operation.

The launch of the connection was announced by COSCO Shipping Europe, a subsidiary of COSCO Corporation, which serves the European region and has been operating since 1989, with its headquarters in Hamburg. The company’s business administration extends from Europe to North Africa, the Mediterranean and the region along the Black Sea, covering a total of 64 countries.

The scope of activities includes container transportation, bulk cargo transportation, logistics services, terminal operations, ship maintenance and fuel supply for ships, etc. The company has 15 subsidiaries in 12 countries, some of which are wholly owned by the company, others are joint ventures.

USM previously reported that the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Port and Maersk will launch a ferry to Georgia.
