CPC berth in Novorossiysk disabled after attack by naval drones

As a result of the attack by naval drones, one of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium’s berths near Novorossiysk was disabled.
Oil shipments were stopped, tankers were taken out to sea. The company itself reported this, emphasizing that further operation of the berth “does not seem possible.”
Representatives of the CPC stated that this was the third “act of aggression against a purely civilian facility” of the company. In particular, in February 2025, Ukrainian drones disabled the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station.
Kazakhstan urgently activated a plan to redirect oil to alternative routes after the attack on the CPC infrastructure
Currently, Russian media are reporting that Kazakhstan has urgently activated a plan to redirect oil to alternative routes after the attack on the CPC infrastructure.
Recall that the CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects in the energy sector of Russia. The length of the Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports a significant part of raw materials from Russian fields, as well as more than two-thirds of all Kazakhstan’s export oil. Oil is shipped to the CPC via remote mooring devices 5 km from the coastline.
Earlier, USM reported that the SBU Sea Baby naval drones hit two sanctioned oil tankers KAIROS and VIRAT, belonging to the Russian “shadow fleet”, in the Black Sea.
