Danish ship stops Russian vessel evacuating equipment from Syria

A Danish patrol ship stopped a Russian transport ship evacuating Russian equipment and weapons from Syria.

The ship P520 stopped the Russian ship Sparta II. This was reported by the monitoring group “Crimean Wind“.   

Currently, both ships are next to each other in the Danish Straits. The reason for the stop is unknown.

At the same time, the ship Sparta and the military tanker “General Skobelev” passed the straits without obstacles.

Previously, all three ships were moving as part of a single convoy. Sparta and Sparta II left Tartus at the end of January, the tanker was waiting for them at the roadstead.

Earlier, USM reported that the sanctioned ships Sparta and Sparta II were heading from Syria back to the Russian Federation.
