Defense Intelligence published a video of the destruction of a Russian fighter jet over the Black Sea


A Russian combat aircraft worth $50 million was shot down with a man-portable anti-aircraft missile system (MANPADS).

During the operation in the waters of the Black Sea, soldiers of the special unit of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine destroyed an enemy fighter Su-30SM. This was reported in the press service of the Defense Intelligence.

The invaders lost contact with the fighter on September 11 around 5 am. Roughly three hours later, the Russians launched a search and rescue operation in the Black Sea, which involved an An-26 aircraft, as well as Mi-8 and Ka-27 helicopters.

Later, the invaders reported to the command about a characteristic stain of aviation fuel discovered in the sea – 70 km northwest of Cape Tarkhankut. Soon the Russians were able to see the wreckage of their Su-30SM.

The downed enemy plane belonged to the 43rd separate naval aviation regiment of the Russian Air Force, which is based in the city of Saky in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The cost of such an aircraft reaches approximately 50 million dollars.
