Defense Intelligence received armored boats for UAH 165 million

The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine received CB90 armored boats for 165 million hryvnias from benefactors.

As part of the “Steel Front” initiative, boats for Defense Intelligence were transferred to “Metinvest” company, “Militarynyi” reports.

The cost of three CB90 armored boats is UAH 165 million.

“We have been delivering them here for a very long time, about six months, but today they are finally delivered and the guys can perform combat missions,” company representatives said.

Also, the fighters were trained to properly dispose of the received vessels.

CB90 boats are designed to perform a number of tasks, in particular, amphibious operations and surveillance of the water area. CB90s can also act as patrol boats or special fire support vessels.

“Boats are good, very powerful. They will be used to destroy the enemy,” commented the representative of the Defense Intelligence.

Military high-speed armored landing craft CB90 developed by the Swedish company Dockstavarvet. It can be used for reconnaissance, mining of water areas, surveillance and intelligence gathering. For the latter, a location radar is installed on board.

The armored boat can carry up to 21 paratroopers in full combat gear or cargo up to 4.5 tons.

Previously, USM reported that Ukrainian media persons announced a fundraiser for Magura V5 maritime drones for the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
