Denmark ends investigation into Nord Stream explosions
Denmark has officially completed the investigation into the explosions at the Nord Stream gas pipelines.
The Danish Prosecutor’s Office has stopped the investigation due to the lack of grounds for initiating a criminal case, the Danish police said in a statement.
Thus, the investigation showed that the reason for undermining the pipelines was “intentional sabotage.” But there are no sufficient grounds for initiating a criminal case.
The Danish Security and Intelligence Service said it would continue to monitor the situation.
Sweden recently closed the investigation into the Nord Streams.
The USM previously reported that Russian ships were at the site of the Nord Stream gas pipeline explosion at least three times in June. One of them moved near the object 5 days before the incident.
