Despite the ban, the ship made a direct flight from Turkey to Crimea
In the port of Turkey, a batch of salt was loaded onto the dry cargo “Lida”, after which the ship turned off AIS and went to occupied Sevastopol.
The ship was loaded in the Turkish port of Karadeniz Eregli, Kateryna Yaresko, journalist of the SeaKrime project “Peacemaker Center”, reported.
We are talking about a batch of salt in big bags with a volume of approximately 2,000 tons.
Already on April 5 at approximately 15:00 Kyiv time, the ship Lida entered the Komysh Bay of Sevastopol.
“A direct voyage from Turkey to the occupied Crimea was recorded, which is a violation of Turkish circular 635/2017, as well as resolution 1183 of the International Maritime Organization,” Kateryna Yaresko emphasized.
SeaKrime writes that the Circular 635/2017 of the Chamber of Shipping of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkey is in force in Turkey, which prohibits maritime trade with the occupied Crimea.
It should be noted that the Lida ship is now being loaded again in Eregli with another batch of cargo for occupied Sevastopol.
As previously reported by USM, last year the Russians exported about 212,000 tons of grain stolen in Ukraine. Stolen grain was more often headed to Turkey, Libya and Israel.
