Despite the war, 1.5 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were harvested in Kharkiv region

This year, 1.5 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were harvested in Kharkiv Oblast, despite russian shelling, mining and burning of fields.

Such a volume was collected from 80% of the pre-war areas of the region, said Oleg Sinegubov, the head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration. Last year, the harvest in Kharkiv region reached 3.5 million tons.

“Such a result was achieved thanks to the extraordinary courage and dedication of our farmers, because very often they had to perform their work in extremely difficult conditions with great risk to their lives,” – emphasized the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

Previously, USM reported that in Ukraine,  elevator capacities with a volume of 9,4 million tons of simultaneous storage were damaged or destroyed. This figure does not take into account businesses that remain unavailable due to temporary occupation.
