Director of Russian Black Sea Fleet plant stole 4 million from defense order

The invaders continue to be “disarmed” not only on the battlefield: this time, through fictitious contracts and theft from their own defense budget.

Russia has opened a criminal case against the director of the 13th ship repair plant of the Black Sea Fleet, Pavel Flory. He is suspected of fraud during the execution of a state defense order, writes “Crimean Wind”.

In February 2023, the plant concluded a multi-million contract with a private entrepreneur for the supply of equipment. Control over the implementation of the agreement was entrusted to Florya. From September to November, he entered false data on the cost of supplies, which allowed him to steal more than 4 million rubles from the budget.

Pavel Florya pleaded guilty, after which the court sent him under house arrest. Against the background of the systemic losses of the Russian Navy in the Black Sea, cases of corruption in the rear look symptomatic.

As USM reported, the Russian Defense Ministry previously sued the shipyard for unbuilt frigates.
