DP World will help to export Ukrainian agricultural products through Romania
DP World, one of the world’s largest port operators, will deliver Ukrainian grain to the Romanian port of Constanta.
The newly authorized terminal in Dorneşti will be used to improve rail exports to the port of Constanta, writes Rail.insider. The new rail link will connect Vadul Siret in Ukraine with the company’s hub terminal in the port of Constanta via Dorneşti.
“Dornesti was quickly converted into a terminal by DP World to reduce congestion in Constanta and to support the company’s multimodal expansion in Romania,” the company said.
As the CEO of DP World Romania, Cosmin Karstia, noted, the new railway service can make up to five round trips per week, and the trains can transport up to 50 containers at a time.
