Drones hit port terminal in Taganrog


The Ilsky refinery in the Kuban, the port oil terminal in Taganrog and the oil depot in Azov were under new attack – fires were recorded at the facilities.

On the night of July 10, the Ilsky refinery, oil infrastructure and the port in Taganrog were attacked in Russia. This was reported by Andrey Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council.

In Taganrog, Rostov Region, the port terminal of LLC Kurgannefteprodukt was hit. Its transshipment volume is 1.2 million tons per year. According to Russian media, evacuation from the emergency zone has begun at the facility. Another oil depot, according to preliminary data, was attacked in Azov. Judging by the video, the fire broke out despite the anti-drone net.

A fire broke out at the Ilsky refinery due to the fall of a UAV. This is one of the largest oil refineries in the south of the Russian Federation. Its design capacity is about 6.6 million tons of oil per year. The plant produces petroleum products mainly for export.

The Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant (AOMZ) was also hit. This is an enterprise of the Russian defense-industrial complex. It produces sights, rangefinders, thermal imagers and fire control systems for aircraft, armored vehicles and warships of the Russian Federation.

Also last night, the Defense Forces hit 12 tankers in the Sea of ​​Azov and an oil terminal in Bataysk.
