Dry cargo “Vilkovo” is loaded for the first voyage
Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company is loading dry cargo “Vilkovo” for the first voyage.
The ship is starting to work after a long overhaul and receipt of documents from the Shipping Register, the UDS reported.
Last year, the UDS refused to continue the bareboat charter, in which “Vilkovo” was for a long time. If compared with the rental rate, UDS began to earn 4-5 times more, the company claims.
The vessel was not properly maintained and was left in an unusable condition for shipping.
Lawyers are working out options for collecting compensation, but the contract was concluded with a typical offshore company. The chances of bringing the real beneficiaries of this scheme to justice are slim.
