Due to the blockade of the border, they plan to launch a container train to Ukraine

Due to the blockade of truck traffic on the Ukrainian-Polish border, a weekly container train can be launched from Ukraine.

In order to improve connections from Ukraine and back, they plan to launch a weekly container train, LTG Cargo reported.

In November, the company received almost 80 requests for cargo transportation from and to Ukraine.

Carriers are also looking for new ways to transport products due to a significant increase in vehicle costs. After the formation of the full composition of the train, the transportation of goods by railway will be twice as cheap. One train trip can carry as much cargo as 36 trucks usually carry.

However, the transportation of some categories of cargo by railway is limited due to the lack of the necessary containers on the market – special 40-foot containers with autonomous refrigeration equipment.
