€2 billion is needed to restore the Kakhovska Dam, — Zelenskyy

The restoration of the Kakhovska Dam and the hydroelectric power plant, without which the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant will not operate, requires 2 billion euros.
This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a conversation with journalists, writes Ukrinform.
According to him, in order to restore the Kakhovska Dam and the hydroelectric power plant, it is necessary to demilitarize Energodar, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and the dam itself.
“The Kakhovka Dam and the hydroelectric power plant, which are necessary for the safe and normal operation of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, can be recreated as a joint regional prosperity project with a similar operational structure,” the head of state noted.
Currently, Russian military personnel are stationed there, and restoration in conditions of danger is not possible.
Zelenskyy noted that the restoration of the occupied dam requires 2 billion euros and someone needs to invest this money.
The “Russians” will not invest themselves. The only thing they need is drinking water in Crimea. I believe that the Americans will be able to quickly build a dam, due to which there will be water. But there will be water everywhere,” the president added.
He also repeated to journalists that the United States is offering Ukraine to jointly use the Zaporizhzhia NPP with Russia, but no agreements have been reached yet.
As previously reported by USM, the amount of damage due to the Russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station reached $14 billion.
