Egypt has increased the volume of imports of Russian grain

Grain supplies from the Russian Federation to Egypt last year accounted for almost half of the total volume of trade between the countries.
Trade between Russia and Egypt for January-November 2023 increased by 14% to 5.1 billion dollars. This was reported by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics of the Arab Republic (CAPMAS).
Yes, the Kremlin sent $2.5 billion worth of grain to Egypt. Russian grain supplies accounted for almost half of the total volume of mutual trade.
Russians also exported iron and steel ($555 million) and fuel and lubricants ($350.2 million) to Egypt.
At the same time, the Islamic country sent $8.4 million worth of electric machines and equipment (dual-purpose goods) to Russia.
We will remind, at the end of last year, Egypt bought almost 500,000 tons of Russian agricultural products.
Previously, USM wrote that the Russian Federation is increasing the volume of transshipment of oil near Egypt.
