Elevators were added to the critical infrastructure of Ukraine

The Cabinet of Ministers expanded the list of critical infrastructure facilities. In particular, elevators were added to the list.

At the meeting on Tuesday, May 9, the Cabinet of Ministers expanded the List of critical infrastructure sectors.

“Amendments have been made to the list of critical infrastructure sectors, approved by the CMU Resolution No. 1109 dated 09.10.2020,” the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, said in Telegram.

In particular, the operation of elevators was also classified as critical infrastructure in the field of “Food industry and agro-industrial complex”.

According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, critical infrastructure is a set of state infrastructure facilities that are most important for the economy and industry, the functioning of society and the safety of the population. In particular, we are talking about such industries as transport, food (this also includes ports of Ukraine), etc.

As previously reported by USM, the agricultural company “Nibulon” plans to build new elevator, designed for the simultaneous storage of 118.5 thousand tons of grain, at its “Bessarabska” branch.
