Environmentalists assessed the damage caused by the Russian attack on the Odesa port


The damage to the environment from the recent Russian attack on the port infrastructure of Odesa was estimated at UAH 246,000.

We are talking about the shelling that took place on July 4 and as a result of which household premises and vegetation caught fire, the State Environmental Inspection reports.

The mass of carbon dioxide emissions that entered the atmosphere amounted to almost 80 tons.

The inspectors calculated the damage that the Russians caused to the atmosphere. The total amount of damages reached 246 thousand hryvnias.

“The information has already been transferred to the operational headquarters for the formation of a single register of damage caused to the environment as a result of armed aggression,” the message reads.

We will remind you that on July 4, the Russians hit the port infrastructure of Odesa region. As a result of the attack, one person was killed and seven others were injured.
