Erdogan discussed the grain corridor with putin

In a telephone conversation with russian president vladimir putin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the grain corridor and the need for diplomatic negotiations between Kyiv and moscow.

Erdogan thanked President putin for his “constructive position” regarding the 120-day extension of the Istanbul Grain Export Agreement. This was reported by the office of the Turkish president, “European Truth” writes.

The President of Turkey stated that the prolongation of the war between russian federation and Ukraine increases the risks, therefore it is important to resume diplomatic negotiations.

He added that contacts between Russian and American intelligence chiefs in Turkey play a key role in preventing uncontrolled escalation. The conversation also discussed Putin’s proposal to create a natural gas hub in Turkey. Erdoğan noted that the working groups will make the necessary technical, legal and commercial assessments to reach common goals as soon as possible.
