Pletenchuk: most of the freed water area of the Black Sea is still dangerous

The Russian invaders continue to control the waters of the Black Sea to some extent with the help of aviation.

Most of the Black Sea, freed from invaders, still remains a “grey” area. This was stated by the spokesman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk, Ukrinform writes.

“Unfortunately, most of the water area freed from the presence of Russians remains a “grey” zone for now. Because there is no ship-boat component, but aviation continues to work and, for example, Russian aviation still dominates the air on the western and southern coasts of Crimea,” Pletenchuk said.

In addition, the aircraft of the occupiers constantly conducts reconnaissance directly over the Black Sea. And also the Russian Federation takes submarines out to sea

“Actually, one submarine leaves, another submarine replaces it. In this way, they (ed.: Russian troops) not only demonstrate their presence, but also protect the bases,” the spokesman of the Navy emphasized.

Instead, the invaders do not risk rebasing the fleet between bases, after Ukraine showed that the waters of the Sea of Azov are under fire control of the Armed Forces.

The day before, USM wrote that the Russians are building an alternative to the Kerch bridge.
