The ambassadors of the European Union approved providing Ukraine with excess profits from the frozen assets of the terrorist country.
On Wednesday, May 8, the permanent representatives of the EU agreed to use the profits from the frozen assets of the Russian Federation to support the reconstruction of Ukraine and defense against Russia. The Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU reported this on the social network Х .
“The EU ambassadors agreed on principled measures regarding extraordinary income from frozen assets of Russia. The money will go to support the recovery and military defense of Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression,” the statement said.
Then the decision must be finalized by the Council of the EU.
