Export by sea in January is already 2.3 million tons
The pace of Ukrainian exports from ports is gradually gaining momentum in January.
As of January 15, the monthly export amounted to 2.3 million tons. Thus, 477,000 tons of products were shipped from the ports of the Danube, and 1.7 million tons of products were shipped through the ports of Great Odesa. This is reported by Spike Brokers.
Freight rates for bulk carriers to China decreased by $5. At the same time, the cost of transportation by “handysize” and “coaster” vessels remains at a stable level.
Market rates for transportation of 1-3 thousand tons of cargo from Izmail to Constanta are 22-28 euros.
The freight rates for ships from the ports of Great Odesa are:
• Chornomorsk — Eastern coast of Italy: $37-38 (30-35 thousand tons);
• Chornomorsk — Western coast of Italy: $38-39 (30-35 thousand tons);
• Chornomorsk — Spain: $39-42 (30-35 thousand tons);
• Chornomorsk — Portugal: $39-42 (30-35 thousand tons);
• Chornomorsk — ARAG (Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp-Ghent): $52-55 (30-35 thousand tons);
• Chornomorsk — China: $57-63 (60-65 thousand tons).
