Export of agricultural products from sea ports decreased by 36% in a week


From March 6 to 12, 2023, 654,000 tons of agricultural products were exported through the sea ports of the Odesa region, which is 36% less than in the previous week.

Thus, from March 6 to 12, 16 vessels were loaded in the ports of Odesa, which is 4 units less than in the previous week. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian club of agrarian business.

In general, during the 32 weeks of operation of the “grain corridor”, the following were exported the most: corn (share in the total export structure – 49%), wheat (21%) and soybeans (11%).

Ukrainian products were sent to the following countries: Asia (China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey), Europe (Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands and others) and Africa (Libya).

Currently, everyone expects the extension of the “grain corridor”, the time of the previous agreement expires on March 18. UCAB emphasizes that even with the continuation of this agreement, its full-fledged activity remains critically important, without inhibitions from the Russian side, as was observed in recent months.

In total, from the beginning of the “grain corridor” from August 1, 2022 to March 12, 2023, Ukraine exported 24 million tons of agricultural products.
