Export of oil products from Russian ports decreased by 25%

The export of petroleum products from Russian ports has been decreasing for the third week in a row.

So, last week the export of diesel fuel and gas oil from Russian ports decreased by 25% to 703,000 tons. This is evidenced by the data of the “A-95” Consulting Group, reports enkorr.

Shipments by sea have been decreasing for the third week in a row due to reduced production at refineries as a result of Ukrainian drone attacks and, accordingly, repair work.

The largest export diesel terminal “Primorsk” has been reducing shipments since the second half of February. Last week, 295,000 tons of diesel and gas oil were shipped from the port, which is 44% less than four weeks ago. Primorsk receives products through a pipeline connected to Kirish, Yaroslavl and Nizhniy Novgorod refineries. The latter was attacked on March 12 – it provided half of the primary processing capacity.

Shipments of distillates from Black Sea ports remain at a stable level. At the same time, the weekly export of diesel and gas oil from the port of Tuapse has halved since the stoppage of production at the local refinery (as well as due to the attack by the UAVs).

USM previously reported that India is increasing supplies of American oil against the backdrop of sanctions against the Russian Federation.

As a reminder, at the end of February 2024, the Russian “Sovcomflot” and 14 tankers associated with the company were on the US sanctions list.
