Export of Russian oil by sea increased to the highest level
In the last week of March, Rosneft’s marine supplies increased to 3.74 million barrels per day, the highest figure since the beginning of 2024.
The increase in exports last week was facilitated by the weakening of strong winds, which in recent weeks have repeatedly prevented loading at Russia’s main Pacific port, Enkorr writes.
Shipments reached their highest level since early November in the period through March 31, according to tanker tracking data compiled by Bloomberg.
Despite the sanctions, the increase in supplies helped increase the aggressor country’s income from oil.
Thus, the gross value of crude oil exports rose to a five-month high of $1.9 billion in the seven days to March 31, from a revised figure of $1.75 billion in the period to March 24. The average four-week revenue also increased by about $110 million to $1.74 billion per week.
“Most of the stockpile of Russian Sokol crude, which built up after Indian refiners rejected it, has now been unloaded. About 9.1 million barrels, half of the total, were delivered to oil refineries (refineries) in China. Another 7 million barrels are returning to India, although almost half of it is still on tankers anchored in Indian ports. One cargo was delivered to Pakistan,” the message reads.
It will be recalled that India is increasing supplies of American oil against the background of sanctions against the Russian Federation.
So, in April, about 7.6 million barrels of oil will be delivered to India from the USA
