Export prices for Ukrainian corn have decreased

Last week the prices for corn from Ukraine in most export directions began to decrease.

The majority of traders suspended purchases in the ports of Great Odessa. As a result, the supply of grain to the Danube ports increased. This caused a general decrease in prices for certain crops. The main factors of the change in the market situation are the total uncertainty regarding the operation of the grain corridor and, accordingly, the accumulation of large stocks of grain in the near-port area, said the head of the local markets department of AI “APK-Inform” Anna Tanska.

According to the results of last week,  the prices from traders in the ports of the Danube and Great Odesa for corn decreased to 185-205 (sometimes 210) USD/t, or 7200-8500 UAH/t SRT-port. Corn prices in November-December on the border with Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Romania were 220-245, 225-250, 230-245 and 230-250 EUR/t, in the cities of Hungary they reached 270-300 EUR/t DAP, and in the port of Constanta – 255-275 EUR/t CIF, “APK-Inform” reports

Currently, the minimum prices for corn sometimes reach 153-170 USD/t SRT port. This week, the most likely is a further decrease in the price of grain crops.
