Fire drills were held in Odesa port

The Odesa branch of the USPA and private stevedoring companies conducted joint fire-tactical exercises in the port.

This was reported by the Odesa Sea Port Administration.

“In order to increase the level of interaction between the departments of the departmental fire protection of the Odesa Sea Port Administration and private stevedoring companies operating in the port, joint fire-tactical exercises were conducted at 5–6 berths of the Prista-Oil Ukraine LLC tank farm,” the administration noted.

It is added that during the exercises, the participants practiced the procedure for actions during dangerous events, studied the operational-tactical characteristics of the facility, and checked the availability and operability of the complex’s fire protection systems.

Special attention was paid to testing the coastal water curtain, and the engineering staff of the complex, the operational-management staff of the departmental fire protection unit, as well as two fire trucks were involved in the exercises.

“The results of the exercises confirmed the readiness of forces and means to respond promptly to emergencies and ensure an adequate level of fire safety in the port,” the USPA summarized.

Earlier, USM reported that measures were taken to eliminate damage in the port of Izmail after the Russian attack.
