Stormy weather at sea has increased mine danger. During the last day, several mines were detonated near the coasts of Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.
Thus, on the evening of July 25, a mine of an unknown type was brought to the Black Sea coast in the Mykolaiv region, which detonated spontaneously, reported the OC”Pivden”.
As a result of the explosion, several dozen windows in the buildings of the recreation facility were damaged. People were not injured.
On the morning of July 26, two more mines, the type of which could not be determined, were spontaneously detonated in the water near one of the beaches of Odesa.
The command emphasized that the mine danger of the coast and coastal waters is extremely high, aggravated by the consequences of man-made flooding after the Russian occupiers blew up the Kakhovska HPP. Then many explosive objects were brought into the sea.
In addition, provocative behavior of the enemy in the waters of the Black Sea can lead to an additional increase in mines. The OC “Pivden” urged Ukrainians to adhere to the norms and restrictions of the legal regime of martial law.
Updated. In the afternoon, Odesa Regional Military Administration announced the detonation of two more mines in Odesa. One exploded in the same area as the previous two, the other was carried near Odesa to the very edge of the water, as a result of which a country house was damaged. People were not injured.
