Floating dock from the water area of the port of Odesa is being sold again for 15.5 million

Float No. 4 is in a partially flooded state in the water area of the Odesa seaport. Elements of the hull were damaged as a result of Russian rocket fire.

The starting price of floating dock No. 4, which is sold for scrap metal, is UAH 15.5 million. The lot was published on the Prozorro.Sales website.

Float No. 4 is partially submerged in the water area of the Odesa seaport and lowered to the bottom.

As a result of the Russian missile attack on the port of Odesa, the structural elements of the floating dock’s hull were damaged.

“The float is technically defective, further operation is impossible,” says the lot description.

The sale auction will be held on June 9, 2023.

As previously reported by USM, this floating dock was also tried to be sold even before the start of a full-scale war— in January 2022. The price of the lot was also 15.5 million UAH.

Certificate. Floating Dock No. 4 was built in 1974 at the Illichiv Ship Repair Plant. Length — 168 m, width — 41 m, carrying capacity — 15,000 tons, pontoon height — 4.5 m.

The state stevedore put the floating dock into operation in April 2007, together with other property of Odesa Ship Repair Plant No. 1. In 2011, floating dock No. 4 was decommissioned.
