For the first time, UDS transshipped grain from a barge to a ship in the port of Constanta

PJSC “Ukrainian Danube Shipping” (UDS) shipped soybeans in the port of Constanta according to a new scheme – from barge to ship.

Transshipment according to the new scheme is carried out in 2-3 days — much faster than at the port terminal, where a caravan spends a week or two in line.

Dmytro Moskalenko, head of the UDS, told about it.

The new transshipment scheme significantly reduces the risk of demurrage and accelerates the turnover of the fleet.

Also, the tariffs for the service (transshipment — river vessel — transshipment — sea vessel) are competitive.
