For the first time, Ukrainian “Interpipe” chartered a vessel for operations in the Black Sea
For the first time in its history, the Ukrainian industrial group “Interpipe” began to operate a vessel that it took on a “time charter”.
Oleksiy Yanovskyi, the director of procurement and logistics of the company, told about this in a comment to TTS.
According to him, the company is currently not considering the possibility of purchasing its own fleet.
“Interpipe” not only considered, but is already implementing in practice the involvement of its own vessels instead of traditional freight. However, we do not consider it appropriate to purchase our own vehicles. Instead, this year, for the first time in its history, the company leased a “time-charter” vessel to carry out operations in the Black Sea,” said Oleksiy Yanovsky.
Currently, the name and dimensions of the vessel are not specified. It is known that it carries out feeder deliveries from Odessa to the port of Varna, and also exports products to the Georgian port of Poti, from where it is sent to the company’s customers in the CIS countries, in particular, in Central Asia.
We will remind, for the first time in Ukraine, a state-owned fishing vessel will be leased through Prozorro.
