Four more French boats for the Maritime Border Guard were sent to Ukraine
The Ukrainian Maritime Guard received four more patrol boats from the French company OCEA.
Four more boats were received by the Maritime Guard of the State Border Service of Ukraine , “Dumska” reports.
Thus, on the morning of December 4, the Turkish maritime surveyor Yörük Işık recorded the passage of dry cargo through the Bosphorus Strait. The ship was carrying four 32-meter boats of the FPB 98 project.
On the night of December 5, the dry cargo docked at the port of Constanta.
The contract on the construction of boats for the Maritime Guard was signed in Paris in 2019. According to the agreement, a total of 20 such boats should be created for the State Border Service of Ukraine. Of them, 5 will be built in Ukraine, using technologies that will be shared by French specialists.
Ships are being built according to the FPB 98 MKI project. These are maneuverable patrol boats 30 meters long. The maximum speed is 55 km/h. Each boat will be equipped with modern optical-electronic surveillance systems, RIB boats for inspection groups of border guards, and modern weapons.
The first batch of two Ukrainian patrol boats was delivered to Constanta on May 24, the second on August 16.
