Freight rates for the transportation of grain from the Danube ports have decreased
Last week, freight rates for the transportation of grain by fire trucks from the Danube ports of Ukraine mostly decreased.
In its turn, the freight for handysizes from the deep-sea ports of Odesa remained at the level of last week, reports UGA with reference to Atria Brokers.
As of March 7, rates for the transportation of 6,000 tons of corn by fire from the ports of Reni and Izmail to the east coast of Italy decreased by 2-3 USD/t to 38-39 USD/t. Rates to Marmara dropped by USD 1/t to USD 26-27/t. Also, the maximum levels of rates in the direction of Spanish Seville decreased by 1 USD/t – to 48-49 USD/t. In turn, the minimum levels in the direction of the rest of Spain increased by 1 USD/t – to 44-45 USD/t. Rates to the east coast of Greece remained unchanged – 30-32 USD/t, the eastern Mediterranean – 35-37 USD/t and Israel – 41-42 USD/t.
Freight rates for the transportation of corn by handsizes from deep-sea ports in key directions remained unchanged: to the Mediterranean coast of Egypt – 30-32 USD/t, to Italy – 32-33 USD/t, to Spain – 34-35 USD/t and to Tunisia – 36-38 USD/ton.
The freight for the transportation of corn by panamax from deep sea ports to China is 62 USD/t, which is within the levels of last week (60-63 USD/t).
The freight for transporting corn by barge to Constanta decreased by 1 EUR/t to 12-13 EUR/t. For sunflower, Ruse/Silistra rates also fell by EUR 1/t to EUR 17-18/t.
