French GTT ceases operations in russian federation

The French engineering company Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT) announced the termination of its activities in russia due to European sanctions.
The GTT company participated in the design of 15 ice-breaking gas carriers at the “Zvezda” shipyard. Already on January 8, the contract with “Zvezda” will be terminated, reports Natural Gas World.
GTT will limit itself to controlling the production of two LNG vessels to ensure the integrity of the technology in accordance with international sanctions.
In the future, GTT’s portfolio of orders will no longer include projects in russia. In addition, starting in 2023, annual planning will exclude revenue and EBITDA received from Russian customers.
Gaztransport & Technigaz is a French company specializing in the production of membrane tanks for LNG transportation and storage. The company is currently a leading supplier of offshore LNG tanks.
