Georgia and Turkey open a feeder connection bypassing russia

The new feeder service Poti Turkiye Feeder (PTF) will connect the ports of Georgia and Turkey.

A new feeder service will be opened by the Georgian company APM Terminals Poti together with the Israeli company ZIM. It is expected that it will soon combine the logistics of Turkey and Georgia, Container News reports.

The 925 TEU Contship Joy will sail between ports in Turkey and the Georgian port of Poti every 12-14 days.

“This new service further expands Poti’s logistics potential through Zim’s global network,” APM Terminals said in a statement.

APM Terminals Poti port is now the main gateway for trade between Europe and Central Asia. Thanks to rail and road connections with the transport networks of the region, the port is connected to all key cities of Georgia, Greater Caucasus and Central Asia.
