Grain from occupied Feodosia is again heading to Syria: Damas Wave made a second flight to Tartus

The bulk carrier under the Syrian flag continues regular voyages between the ports of Crimea and Tartus, despite sanctions and the blockade of Crimean ports.

The bulk carrier Damas Wave (IMO: 8915299) arrived loaded in the Black Sea from the Syrian port of Tartus on July 11, 2025. This was reported by Kateryna Yaresko, a journalist for the SeaKrime project of the Myrotvorets Center.

According to monitoring data, on May 30, the vessel was recorded in the closed port of occupied Feodosia during loading – this is a direct violation of the sanctions regime against the Russian Federation.

After arriving in Crimea, the vessel sailed to Syria, where on July 5 it left the port of Tartus (coordinates: 34.9083, 35.8664), having previously carried out both unloading and new loading there. This is the second documented voyage of the Damas Wave on the Feodosia – Tartus route.

The vessel’s first visit to occupied Feodosia was recorded on March 15, 2025. After that, on April 18–20, Damas Wave was unloaded in a Syrian port.

Thus, the OSINT researcher records the restoration of a regular grain supply channel from the occupied territories of Ukraine to Syria, a route that was active in the previous years of the war. The vessel moves with disappearing AIS signals, using the “closed port — unfriendly importer” scheme.

Meanwhile, another vessel is heading to Egypt with stolen Ukrainian grain.
