“Gray” export by sea: agricultural company reimbursed the state 7 million

A company that exported Ukrainian agricultural products through the port of Odesa region evaded taxes.
This was reported by the Bureau of Economic Security. The Bureau’s detectives established that officials of the exporting company intentionally did not declare the income received from the sale of 3 thousand tons of soybeans in 2024.
The products worth almost UAH 42 million were exported by sea through one of the ports of Odesa region to Nepal.
“The actual volume of products sold and the real income of the enterprise turned out to be significantly higher than indicated in the financial documentation. The enterprise caused losses to the state budget of almost UAH 7.6 million,” said Serhiy Muntyan, head of the Bureau of Economic Security in Odesa region.
The company’s financial director was informed of suspicion of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for intentional tax evasion.
It should be noted that during the pre-trial investigation, the exporter compensated the state budget for the losses in the amount of UAH 7.6 million. The criminal proceedings were sent to the court with an indictment.
