He allowed Russian military personnel into the port of Kherson and helped build a ferry: the collaborator received a sentence

A former employee of the seaport in Kherson was sentenced for aiding the Russian invaders.

This was reported by “Most” with reference to the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.

Thus, the Kherson City Court sentenced the former head of the Kherson Port Maritime Security Service Oleksandr Parkhomyuk, who collaborated with the Russians during the occupation of the city.

According to the investigation, in the summer of 2022, Parkhomyuk voluntarily agreed to take the position of Deputy Director for Security of the Kherson Port. In this position, he organized the access regime and the issuance of passes to the port territory, in particular for Russian military and military equipment. He also gave the invaders access to the port’s video surveillance system so that they could control the territory of the enterprise and the water area of the Dnipro River.

In addition, Parkhomyuk agitated port employees and other city residents to go to work at the captured enterprise and conducted interviews with those who were willing.

Finally, from July to November 2022, Parkhomyuk ensured the construction of a pontoon ferry near the Antonivskyi Bridge. In particular, he controlled the delivery of metal, the timing of construction and the preparation of barges for the ferry, and also managed the repair and relocation of vessels and special equipment.

The court found Oleksandr Parkhomyuk guilty in absentia under Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (aiding an aggressor state). He was sentenced to 12 years in prison with confiscation of all property.

Earlier, USM reported that the deputy “head” of the Kherson port reported suspicion.
