High Anti-Corruption court arrested two apartments in the case of the current Minister of Agricultural Policy Koval

The High Anti-Corruption Court has seized two apartments in the case of the current Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vitaliy Koval.
This concerns the property of the Minister of Agrarian Policy Vitaliy Koval and his mother-in-law Halyna Baranyuk, reports th “Slovo i Dilo”.
The apartments were seized as part of a civil lawsuit for the confiscation of assets.
According to the publication, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) filed a lawsuit to confiscate part of the value of the apartment of the mother-in-law of the Minister of Agrarian Policy Koval. It concerned housing in one of the Kyiv residential complexes with an area of 170.1 sq m, in which the minister lived with his family, although the owner was his mother-in-law.
During the analysis of the income and expenses of Koval’s relative, it was established that it was partially impossible to acquire this real estate object with legal income. The version put forward by her about receiving a loan in the amount of almost 5.5 million UAH was refuted by the evidence obtained.
The Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office prosecutor filed an application to secure this claim and requested the seizure of the apartment of Koval’s mother-in-law, as well as another apartment of the minister himself, located in Kyiv.
Earlier, USM reported that the High Anti-Corruption Court allowed ARMA to appeal the ban on the sale of Medvedchuk’s assets in the Supreme Court.
