Humenyuk: shipowners trust the Defense Forces regarding the security of the sea corridor

Shipowners trust the Defense Forces of Ukraine more and more in the matter of maritime corridor security.

“We see that shipowners, participants in international navigation trust the Defense Forces of Ukraine, despite the fact that the situation is uneasy with such a neighbor and enemy,” Nataliya Humenyuk, spokeswoman for the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of the South, said at a briefing in Media Center Ukraine.

According to her, the activity of Russian tactical aviation also poses a danger to navigation, besides, the enemy has air superiority. However, the partners understand that before ensuring the passage of ships, the Ukrainian side carefully checks the security situation and tries to provide the possibility of functioning of the sea corridor as much as possible.

“Practice shows that even in the absence of international guarantees, we continue to fulfill our obligations and more and more shipowners trust us,” Nataliya Humenyuk emphasized.

As previously reported by USM, one of the tangible results of the implementation of the Ukrainian peace formula should be free and safe navigation in the Black Sea.
