Hungary banned the import of agricultural products from Ukraine
Hungary introduced a ban on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products until June 30. The ban applies to products of both plant and animal origin.
In Hungary, the ban is explained by the lack of significant measures to support local producers from the EU. According to the Minister of Agriculture of Hungary Istvan Nagy, the ban is introduced until June 30 and concerns the import of grain, oilseeds and other agricultural products.
The minister noted that the import of agricultural products from Ukraine will cause serious damage to local farmers. Nagy also said that he hopes for changes in regulation at the EU level, including a rethinking of the abolition of import duties on Ukrainian products.
Earlier it became known that on Saturday, April 15, the Polish government banned the import of grain and other food from Ukraine.
