Imports of goods exceeded exports by a quarter in 2022
In 2022, Ukraine exported goods worth $44.2 billion, and imported goods amounted to $55.5 billion.
The total turnover for the year amounted to $99.7 billion, the press service of the State Customs Service reports. The balance of foreign trade in goods amounted to “minus” $11.3 billion.
The countries that exported the most were: Poland — for $6.7 billion; Romania — by $3.9 billion; Turkey — $2.9 billion.
The largest was imported into Ukraine from: China — $8.7 billion; Poland — $5.5 billion; Germany — $4.4 billion.
The top three most exported goods:
• food products — for $23.4 billion;
• metals and their products — for $6 billion;
• machines, equipment and transport — for $4.2 billion.
The top three imported goods:
• machines, equipment and transport — for $16 billion;
• mineral fuels, oil and products of its distillation — for $13.1 billion;
• products of the chemical industry — $9.6 billion.
