In February, the number of ships that passed through the grain corridor decreased
In February 2023, the Joint Coordination Center (JCC) in Istanbul inspected 71 ships that entered the seaports of the Odesa region for loading.
This is 17 units less than in January this year, the press service of the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure reported.
It is noted that such negative dynamics are a consequence of the systemic destructive policy of Russia, which is aimed at inhibiting the inspection of vessels in the territorial waters of Turkey.
According to the ministry, all parties to the SCC, including the Russian Federation, agree to carry out 9 to 12 inspections per day. However, russian inspectors perform no more than 6 inspections without explaining the reasons. After that, the russian inspectors stop their work, making it impossible for the inspectors of Turkey, the UN and Ukraine to work.
The ministry emphasizes that the result of such actions is a stable queue of vessels (from 120 to 140 vessels). At the same time, Ukrainian ports face the problem of a shortage of a new fleet for loading.
