By the new season, the Izmail terminal “Sun Logistic” plans to restore full grain processing services after the Russian drone strike.
The Izmail terminal “Sun Logistic”, which suffered from the attack of the Russian “Shahed” drone, will restore the operation of the grain dryer and restore grain processing services. This was reported by the terminal director Andriy Osaulenko, Elevatorist writes .
“The “Shahed” knocked out eight silos, and partially damaged seven more. We have already restored three of them, and are currently working on restoring four more,” said Osaulenko.
The silos suffered minor damage in the depths – 1-2 plates were knocked out or cracks appeared, which the team can eliminate independently using an assembly cradle. However, a crane is needed to repair the end silos, since it is impossible to restore them without special equipment.
According to the terminal director, despite the fact that Bessarabia is an arid region, farmers often need services for drying and cleaning grain, in particular rapeseed and sunflower.
The Sun Logistics terminal expects to complete all repair work by the beginning of the new season in order to once again provide grain processing services for local farmers.
The day before, USM reported that the Ukrainian Navy destroyed 16 “Shaheds” during the attack on Odesa on February 19.
