In January Pivdennyi port processed 77,100 tons of cargo
In January 2023, SE Pivdennyi Sea Trade Port handled 77,100 tons of cargo and loaded only 3 vessels.
“Transshipment of all cargo nomenclature was carried out only until February 24, 2022. Since August, after the opening of the grain corridor, the state stevedore has been processing sunflower meal, barley, wheat, corn, seeds, etc.,” the press service of the state stevedore noted.
In general, exports at the port amounted to 73.7 thousand tons: 66.9 thousand tons of meal and 6.8 thousand tons of barley. Transit cargo — 3.4 thousand tons. For comparison, in January 2022, 19 vessels docked at the port berths and handled 1.310 million tons.
“Under the condition of stable functioning of the “grain corridor”, cargo processing indicators can increase. Millions of people need Ukrainian grain, so we are ready to overcome all challenges for the sake of supporting others and for the sake of reviving Ukraine,” the port said.
